Lost & Found
Let's Find What You're Looking For
Lost items may be turned into a number of airport offices, depending on where the item was left. This can sometimes make it tricky to locate your lost item if you can't remember where it was misplaced.
Here are some guidelines for locating a lost item in the most common locations:
- Security Checkpoints: If you suspect your item was left at a security checkpoint, you may file a claim with TSA Lost & Found. You may also contact TSA Lost & Found at DTWtsalostandfound@tsa.dhs.gov or by phone at (734) 942-3126. The office is located at 11100 Metro Airport Center Drive, Suite 160, Romulus, MI 48174.
- Gate or Aircraft: Check directly with your airline if your item was left on an aircraft or in a gate area. Your airline is also responsible for locating lost baggage.
- If your item is lost elsewhere in the terminal, please file a lost & found claim with WCAA Police.
To report an item you've found, please call the Detroit Metro Airport Police Department at (734) 942-2222, Ext. 1.
